The Polo Lounge in Glasgow: scene of more inhumanity from the trans cult

We know by now that trans activists will – without a trace of irony – describe anyone who doesn’t fully submit to their absurd ideology and prioritise their interests over all others as ‘haters’, ‘bigots’ and ‘transphobes’. That includes anyone concerned with preserving women’s sex-based protections from men whose claim to womanhood is based on subjective feelings and anyone who dares to point out that gay/lesbian means same-sex attracted.

Having seen WPUK repeatedly described, since its launch in November 2017, as a ‘hate group’ for brazenly stating that they are against all forms of discrimination, that they believe in the right of everyone to live their lives free from discrimination and harassment and for – heaven forbid – even providing a platform to transsexual speakers like Kristina Harrison and Debbie Hayton, who dare  to disagree with certain articles of transgender faith, it came as no surprise to see, from the moment it was set up in October last year, the LGB Alliance described in the exact same way. Nor was it a surprise that it was targeted with various acts of malice and attempted sabotage, such as the setting up of fake Twitter accounts purporting to be from the Alliance and getting its crowdfunding page temporarily taken down after falsely representing its motives to JustGiving.

But what are the motives of the LGB Alliance and why is it attracting such opprobrium?

Going by its published aims and mission statement, it seems the problem lies in the fact that there are some lesbians, gay men and bisexual people who want to advance the interests of lesbians, gay men and bisexual people but who aren’t prepared to do what the establishment’s favourite LGBT organisation, Stonewall, are doing and focus on the wishes of trans people. In fact – and this hardly bears thinking about – they don’t mention the interests of trans people at all! (Or, for that matter, the interests of vegetarians, philatelists, Esperantists, Beliebers, fans of Jane Austen or any other group that isn’t about sexual orientation.)

How dare they? It’s not as if there are already any organisations for trans people. I mean apart from Stonewall, GIRES, Mermaids, the Beaumont Society, All About Trans, Press for Change, the LGBT Foundation, Sparkle, Galop, the Equality Network, Switchboard, Consortium and the local groups all over the country listed on the Trans Unite website.

Worse…the ‘haters’ of the LGB Alliance are boldly suggesting that there are “concerted attempts to introduce confusion between biological sex and the notion of gender,” as if that is a bad thing. For crying out loud – how on earth do they expect heterosexual men who claim to be women to be able to guilt-trip fit lesbians into sexual intimacy with them if we have to be all boringly accurate?

As I write this on the 70th anniversary of George Orwell’s death, I can’t help but recall his words about liberty meaning the right to tell people what they don’t want to hear and that must surely include telling lesbians that their same-sex attraction is but a mere genital fetish and that a penis on a man who ‘identifies’ as a woman is, by definition, a female penis and they need to be good girls and accept it or else they’re a TERF bigot who needs to die in a dumpster fire?

As for the notion that children and young people should be given accurate information that might deter them from making potentially catastrophic decisions…good grief! Big Brother must be turning in his grave.

Yep, I’m convinced that the LGB Alliance is beyond the pale.

However…this does not mean that it is, by any measure of humanity, OK to do what staff at the self-described “LGBTQ+ inclusive safe space” that is the Polo Lounge in Glasgow did on a cold January night last Saturday and eject a young woman without even allowing her to collect her jacket and other belongings because she refused to turn her T-shirt inside out.

And what was wrong with her T-shirt? What was wrong with it is that it didn’t have a T on it. Seriously, it bore the logo of the LGB Alliance because the woman in question had, earlier that evening, been attending the Scottish launch of the group.

At the launch of the LGB Alliance in Glasgow

Foolishly, she misunderstood the words ‘inclusive and safe’, as used in the Polo Lounge’s self-promotion, to mean inclusive and safe for everyone under the LGBT umbrella. It seems she hadn’t learned that in Transpeak the word ‘safe’ doesn’t mean safe from physical harm; it doesn’t even mean safe from humiliation and degradation. It only means safe from seeing anything that might make a trans person slightly annoyed and, being such delicate, entitled snowflakes, the sight of a young woman minding her own business, having a drink with her friends and wearing an LGB Alliance T-shirt was enough to make lots of them annoyed enough to complain to staff.

But why is transsexual Miranda Yardley not excluded?

It’s hard to imagine anything more pathetic than adults behaving like that or anything more inappropriate than the male staff’s behaviour in taking her to what she describes as “a cupboard”, demanding she turn her T-shirt inside out and ejecting her without her belongings when she refused to do so. But it’s worse than that. This was an act of cruelty, an act of deliberately putting a young woman in a vulnerable situation. It was an act that denied her humanity – the feelings of fragile trans cultists matter but she doesn’t kowtow to them so her dignity and physical safety don’t matter.

And how sickening is it that on social media so many male bullies were defending and applauding this sadistic and irresponsible act.

Here are but a few examples:

According to press reports, the woman has reported the incident to the police and I hope to goodness it is taken seriously but it wouldn’t surprise me to hear she was the one being investigated. I’m sure that’s what would have happened if this had taken place in England where, as I’ve said before, the police have become the trans cult’s goon squad.

I’m glad that so far she has managed to keep her identity secret and I urge anyone who knows her not to publicly identify her because if they learn her name she will – like all of us fighting these pseudo-fascists – undoubtedly be targeted with hatred and abuse ad nauseam.

Finally, if this story doesn’t convince you that the LGB Alliance is needed, nothing will.  Follow their Twitter account and please consider making a donation.
